Circular Economy
We strive to close the loop on our long use polymers through our recycling department as well as our “Spilo Loop” solution.
Where possible we make use of recycled materials in our manufacturing processes. We are also proud of our achievement of a 99.99% recycle rate for all waste polymer that passes through our factory.
Our Spilo AgriCycle solution is a pioneer in the long use polymer recycling space whereby we connect with customers and partners to collect all products that have reached their end of life in that form. This ensures our customers have peace of mind knowing that they’re closing the loop on their use of polymers. This, in turn, allows our customers to benefit their customers through offering more sustainable products, providing a genuine competitive advantage.
Social Responsibility
During July 2008 the SPILO Wellness Committee was established. The committee consists of voluntary salaried and wage employees, representing all levels of Spilo.
The aim of the Wellness Committee is to be a sounding board for employees. They identify and address Spilo employee challenges, assist the directors of Spilo in identifying relevant social responsibility commitments and help promote employee wellness in general. The company allows the committee to meet during working hours.
During the meetings, the committee members bring wellness issues to the table, they brainstorm wellness and fundraising ideas and identify new and relevant social and community projects they would like their company to become involved in.
