Agri Weave Weed Mat

Our Agri Weave weed mat (also known as synthetic mulch or weed stop fabric) has been developed to prevent weeds, encourage water distribution and last longer under higher levels of southern hemisphere UV exposure.

Spilo, through our exclusive partnership with BVB Substrates supplies our growers with blueberry growing media that meets all the requirements for luxuriant growth.

Growing Media Options
  • Blueberry Excellent – BVB’s Blueberry Excellent is the ideal mixture for growing blueberries in containers. The
    composition is based on coarse white peat, high-quality coco peat and perlite.
  • Blueberry Excellent Propagation – we base the composition of this mixture on the exact pot size that the customer
    uses. It is generally made of medium-coarse or fine European black peat, combined with well-washed and buffered
    coir and perlite.

  1. Above soil / product level: Sun (heat and UV), rain and traffic.
  2. At soil / product level: Prevention of weed growth, durability under heavy traffic, reflectivity
    for reduced heat around the berries, drainage of the water in the pot to prevent ‘wet feet’,
